Getting into MMA competition

Hey everyone, what's a good way to get started in MMA competition? A few good website on types of tournaments available and way to get into the field.

I'm in the MD/VA/DC area, so any advice would be great.

Get hooked up with a respectable, established, and legitimate MMA type school, train your ass off, and they'll point you into the right direction.
