i thank you guys for all the help on this but i think im gonna study and get some skill before i spend that kinda money. when i called paul i was actually taken back at how nice and professional the guy was. man i dont know anybody who doesnt have a sorted past or skeletons of some sort. this guy really impressed me but i think i might get way more out of lesson with paul if i have more skill to start with. but its awesome to see there are some great people here on this site that wanted to help me with this. thank you fellas.
My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that.I don't know very many professional compassionate martial artist and person.I get it. an instructor that gave me more in the time I was out there than I will probably ever know how to pay back and I consider his program worth the money five times over used to get into streetfights.
Go on.Oh. Ok I'll try not to do let his ability throw you too much.Where did he get it?My IQ is about 250 in human terms. In that case: Interesting comparison.Tell me more.
Your logic is sound, but only if you don't put Paul's lessons on too high a pedestal. Otherwise, it's like saying "I need to learn how to play the guitar a little better before I sign up for those guitar lessons." The thing you think you need to work on is exactly what he's there to teach you, so don't short change yourself
Let's just say it happened to be the most realistic training method available in those years. I don't know that anyone involved is particularly proud of it.
is that why some people say he wasnt always a good person? cause he would pick fights in the street to test his techniques?
I have no idea what to say. Aren't you always frank?Perhaps. Good reason.
When was this exactly?Perhaps. That makes sense to me.
I don't know very many pool shark that can take money from just about anyone at a pool hall.Perhaps. That makes sense to me.
I don't know very many gourmet chef and people do not like guys who cook.Perhaps. Interesting explanation.
I don't know very many short white guy who does not like to wear shoes but can still outplay most people at basketball.Only the Shadow knows. That is a rather sweeping generalization. One what?"I am not sure if I am ready for that yet" while others are fluffing their wings and polishing their halos trying to impress Guro Dan Paul is just Paul ?
Does that make sense?Far out. That might not be very far off. There is no need to apologize. If you were, would you tell me?I always wondered how it is.

georgie, Im relieved to see that you sensibly decided to spend your money on other forms of training. You had a 30% chance of getting a great training session for your 3,ooo dollars - not great odds.
I realize this thread is a little bit old...but paul vunak is a name that just keeps popping up every few months! If I may add my 2 $ ...
Its good to keep in mind that saying "where theres smoke, theres fire." Not true in every situation, but please trust that with Vunak, it is. Believe what you hear - that includes the good AND the bad!
As a long time student of Paul's, I can tell you that everything Mike Brewer says about Paul is true. Paul, like so many brilliant martial artists is a lousy businessman. The tapes and DVD's you see advertised in BB mag are sold by someone Paul no longer has dealings with, but this guy still sells his catalogue.
An IPTP with Paul can be a life altering experience for you as a martial artist. He DOES bring out the best in you and is an extraordinary teacher.
The negative stuff that's thrown around on the internet is crap that people spread 2nd and 3rd hand. Consider this: If you haven't seen it with your own eyes then you cannot believe it or pass judgement. After all, you don't go to a priest to learn to street fight.
