For Judo newaza, see JIMMY PEDRO. All the olympic Judo guys I know are excellent on the ground.

All the footlocks in BJJ came from Sombo. The wrestling style takedowns came from, guess where? Wrestling. The throws in BJJ (well, most school don't practice these any more) came from Judo, as well as all the chokes and armlocks. Yes, the Triangle choke is a Judo move. The armbar is a Judo move. The "Kimura" is a Judo move (ude garame). In fact, you know, A JUDO player used it to beat the GRANDMASTER of BJJ. Gee willickers, I guess BJJ sucks if one of those retarded Judo players can throw down the Grandmaster and submit him with an armlock.

I kid, I kid. But seriously, Kimura is 100x greater than Helio.

BJJ is Judo. BJJ just specializes for one-on-one fights whereas Judo developed toward the Olympic sport. It's called evolution. Olympic rules don't allow for sophisticated groundwork because of the timework, therefore Judo has unsophisticated groundwork. In BJJ, both fighters are often willing to go to the ground therefore they never develop a sophisticated method of taking an opponent down.

Judo has a series of intricate and complex grips and set-ups for throws. BJJ has a series of advanced and complicated variations of the guard (X guard, Spider-Guard, De La Riva, etc). It's all because of the rules. Judo matches are generally won with throws, BJJ matches are generally won with matwork.

If you can tapout Jimmy Pedro, I'll give you a cookie.

should read properly, I will bet you do alot of things that start on your knees.

otherwise it really makes no sense, at least try to use English on here, even if the buds have taken their effect, else you are betting " a lot of things" which you dont even own to being with lol

These "things" are bet against that I start with myself?
and these "things" are placed on my knees?

                please use English moron.....

READ CAREFULLY AGAIN THE POST BY JUBAJI...

He will BET ALOT OF THE THINGS YOU DO start with you on your knees.

Speaking of knee pads and cocks in your mouth... hint hint. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Maybe you should lay off the bong for a while if you don't understand your own language?

That was a MAJOR burn on your post about how you defeat the Judoka blackbelts....("starting from knees") AND FUNNY!

So, it wasn't entirely wasted on you...

The whole problem with language and the smoke clouding judgment, selective memory and split personalities would go a LONG WAYS toward explaining the fight record that the Gracie's claim.

70 odd years undefeated, 400 victories.... right!

Just like when Kimura beat Helio and Ron Tripp beat Rickson.... or did they? I guess since they were using Judo which is the same as BJJ, they basically used BJJ to beat BJJers and since they used BJJ they didn't really win because everyone was just using BJJ and since BJJ wins Helio wins.

Helio Gracie laughs at Ricksons claims of 400 undefeated victories, he says its closer to 11, (in the gracies in action video or choke, cant remember which) but none the less, there arent too many guys walking the planet earth that can say they defeated a Gracie "great" in a MMA event........the Ron tripp was a Sambo match, Ricksons back touched the mat, which is grounds for automatic defeat, according to the rules at that fight, Rickson said he didnt know that was the rule, but he was a sambo champion so hard to believe that....what we do know is the Rickson was world BJJ champion for 16 years in a row, the best ever at BJJ

who cares if bjj is better than judo or the other way around. this is a thread about the greatest gift from the gods reefer. my bjj school just moved and tonight is my first night back training in a month. I plan on two hefty bong hits before i leave on my 40 minute drive. I will also bring my glass pipe to refreshen the high as i get closer to the school, and a pre-rolled fatty for the way home. I think that should cover all my weed needs for the night.

This is getting good. I should take up weed smoking again and come back and read this. Although the arguements over semantics might confuse me then. Better stay sober. Both of us.

"A lot of the things you do" would be the subject in question, while "begin with you on your knees" would be when and where the subject takes place. Get it?

And proper grammar be damned, what in the blue hell does this mean?

I'm especially entertained by the "These things are bet against that I started with myself" part. Yoda is easier to decipher than that sentence!

And let's please not forget to totally pick on the fact that he came back later and pretended to be some third party observer to get out of looking like a mook. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Okay. It's out of my system now. Back to our regularly scheduled thread.
