which do you prefer for bag/mitt work

We talking oz, I think anything between 12oz and lower is generally good bags/mitts/thai pads & etc. I would say anything between 8-12oz is good for gloves if you just hitting focus targets, but I think small mma type gloves for hitting the bag/mitt can be hard on the wrist & knuckles. They're okay if you don't hit hard or if you have very super strong wrists and knuckles, but generally they're better for speed bag work.
