      Sweep,

Ask David Kota(sp?) to demonstrate Tachiwaza and Newaza... i'm sure he'd be more than happy to oblige.

I've worked with David numerous times on both training regimes.

When we spar, I know better now then to let him try to throw me since he's been in judo for too many years. He's thrown me on my head and butt too many times in the past.
Just like when I go train with my other Judo friends.
At least with the stand up, but when it comes to working on the mat, I am more successful.

Japanese is pretty easy to pronounce it if you know how the words are pronounced spelling with English letter, called Romaji

            A's are prononuced as ah

            I's are pronounced as E's

            So Tachiwaza:

would be spelled out phonetically as

            Tah Chee Wah Zah
            Ta chi wa za

            simple

            EJ:

            you should learn this:

            Otearai wa doko desuka?

Let's see what else I can find in my pocket dictionary here.

              Robin Hood,

The high number of registered users on the Underground comes from the fact that you used to have to register a user name in order to see the threads on the forum (you don't any more). So, lots of people registered to see what was there, but did not stick around. Add in some "multiple personalities," and you can see why the number is so high.

You'll notice that since they've gone to v.2 of the forum, which does not require registration to see the posts, the rate of growth has slowed down.

              -Jeff
