I've been out of the fight game/formal ma traing for like 3 years and because I became quasi cripple in sept 2003 when my ankle and foot blew out. I've lived a total gutter life style since then but now that I have some answers as to the 4+ things that are wrong with me.I have to have at least 2 surgeries and probably least 3.
2 weeks ago on saturday morning in dawned on me, if I don't get my shit together right now I'll never fight again and will probably lead a miserable existance forever. So I vowed to quit having a fucking pity party and get up off the deck and fight, damit, I said to myself do you want to fight again and will you do everything humanly possible to get back to there or are you you going to give up/run and hide like a fuc*ing coward. No **** this I'm going back to the thing I love the best.Here's what I'm facing 1 wrecked ankle and foot bad enough that I can't stand and box on till at least my colorado brace arrives, plus I still badly need surgeries,2 feet that have some rheumatologicall condition not Ra though, that makes them feel like someone beat me on the top of my feet with a bamboo stick(I wouldn't mind the bamboo on the shins though as I like that stuff) in the morning if i do too much of anything.1 I don't know what I did to it left wrist that's still too tender to lift /do pushups with. So being the creative little bastard that I am, I designed a jerry's kids type of ma program that mimicked what I'd did as a fighter(as much as I could anyway).So for all you bitter quasi cripples here's a plan 1.exercise bike 30 min trying for more miles in the same amount of time just like running,2. seated boxing 30 min= 15 2:00 min rds shadow or on equipment remember to use 12oz gloves because your arms need as much use as possible 3. into the pool to swim laps for 30 min rest as little as possible using only your arms(if you have mega ankle stuff) to pull yourself along in the crawl or butterfly, whichever one only involves the arms and will fry your chest.Back to seated boxing same as before.For a greater challenge see how much of this stuff you can do back to back.I't's great fun
