i have just recently started bjj training again, after having stopped for a couple of years. thing is, w/ bjj training 3-4 times a week, i hardly have time for weight training. is there a certain schedule i can follow (i.e. weights in the morning then bjj at night) without getting over fatigued? as much as i enjoy bjj, i don't want to compromise weight training. thanks folks.

Train TWC its safer to use in a real situation.

You should try doing body weight exercises instead of lifting weights. For the most part you could do those anywhere you have time.

You can do both, forget over training, as long as you space your workouts apart from each other and give enough days between you should be fine.

Im going to start doing weights in hte morning, and conditining at night... and if there is grappling or krav maga, or sparring, then ill just... either skip.. or tone down the conditiniong for that night.

Then every once in ahwile take a day off to let everything heal... my aching forearms...

I work an 8-5 everyday and in the evenings train each night and then leave the school and am at the gym within 30 minutes hitting weights. As long as I have had a decent nights rest and some energy, I find I'm not overdoing it.

I wouldn't think so though everyone is different. The biggest thing is probably just to try and listen to your body and adjust to it.
