I found this school http://www.warriorway.com/ that is about three to four hours from my house (muskegon, Michigan). Seeing how where i live, none of this is offered, so I thought that I should move there (detroit, michigan). The unlimited muay tai and bjj combined costs $999 a year. I didnt think it was bad considering the instructors. The only problem here is that I am 19. How can I move out there, survive and take the classes? What job could I get that would provide for me and allow me to take the classes as well? What would you do? Would you move? Any help is much appreciated.

another idea is go up to the school and tell them you want to move up their to train and see if any of the guys have any leads on a job and a place to stay.
If you are dedicated and passionate about training they may try to help you out. It is their town after all they will know it better than you.

Since you're 19 I'm assuming that you don't have any special skills or education beyond high school. If that's your situation the first two jobs that spring to mind are bar tending and waiting tables. You can make good money doing either job provided you work the busiest shifts in a good restaurant/bar. It also might be worth your while to apply at some contracting agencies that would place you in another company. There's no telling where they might place you; you might be unloading a truck or you might be doing clerical work. A lot of good companies only hire workers that have proven themselves as outside contractors first; that's how I got my foot in the door where I work.
Another option is to become a college student. As a student there are lots of scholarships, grants and student loans that you might be elgible for, which when combined with student housing could make it very affordable for you to make the move. I know a lot of martial arts schools offer a discount to full time students.
Just keep in mind if you've never had your own place that you will have to put up a deposit in addition to paying rent in an apartement, and you will also need to pay deposits for your utilities. That means you'd better have some cash saved up to pay for the move because otherwise you're setting yourself up for a nightmare if you're not prepared.

Thanks guys. You gave me a lot of good ideas. I actually used to work for a computer company, but I think I will move into construction. I know a guy that will give me a construction job in that area. As for the living area...ill take your advice and see if the guys at the gym know of a place.
