Is the MMA world turning into a corporate sport like many other professional sports have been. To me personally the martial arts world should not be so money hungry, but the hunger should be more for the love of the sport.

Some still practise/teach MA's for the love of it. Others just do it for money, but instructers have to make a living. It's when people only care about money(McTKD) when I start to get pissed.

Dude you answered your own question when you used the word "professional" sports. Professional means it's your profession, and if you don't get paid for your profession you are known as an amateur.
It shouldn't be ALL about the money, but like passiveguy said, people gotta put food on the table. I think most of the moneygrubbers in the biz are the ones who don't get in the ring but are involved in promoting shows and organizing events. After all, it takes cash to set up tournaments or whatever, and if a promoter doesn't get paid and it costs him money to do it, why should he do it at all? HOW could he do it without going broke.
Money makes the world go around, but you can tell that the people that are really involved in the sport do it for the love of the fight.Comment
