What's that buzzing sound? Like some kind of insignificant insect trying to make noise...
Canada's opinions and ideas are respected throughout the world, we are rated the number one country in the world to live because of our high standard of living, low crime rate, fantastic social programs, limited pollution, multicultural diversity and tolerance, fabulous public education system...I could go on and on, the point is that Canadians are embraced and loved by the entire civilized world. When we travel they welcome us will open arms...when americans travel they spit in your food and detest you. I spent a year working in the UK and Europe and the most common words the locals used to describe americans were "fat, lazy, arrogant, ignorant, stupid, uncultured, loud, obnoxious"...I guess that's why I met so many americans overseas with Canadian flags on their backpacks. I would be ashamed to be one too.

    Face it, you suck

I saw more guns in germany that I have in the US. I remember getting off the plane and seeing police with machine guns, and pistols with clips all over the place.

I've yet to see that in the US.

If it is an emergency anyone can get an MRI.

In the US the police don't have guns, instead all of the people do? Makes sense, if the people have guns they can protect themselves, and cops aren't really needed.

Exactly, anyone who can pay up. Or is just about to die.

I don't quite get what point you are trying to make.

All I know is I had surgery 7 times this year. I was able to go to some of the top surgeons in the world. I have spoken to people all over the world who had the same condition and they did not have the options I had. If fact many of the canadians spoke of coming to the US to be operated on because of the long wait times. they also spoke about not being able to choose their own doctors because of limited selection.

I saw 5 specialists before 1 of them got to cut me. Doesn't matter where you live, someone is paying for your health care,

In canada, healthy people are paying for unhealthy people and to great extent those who do not see doctors are paying the bill for those that do. I would much rather have access to high quality care rather face the inability to access the best facilities or equipment.

Wait times are a huge issue in Canada, and the government is working to alleviate the problem. The major difference between US and Canada is the providers in the states are driven by profit, and therefore the services cost more. 400 dollars a month would be unthinkable to Canadians, but when something really big comes up, we do not hesitate to spend thousands to head down south for the procedure. Most people just ignore the fact that we are being taxed to the bone to pay for health care, and more than likely pay upwards of 400 a month through this back door route.

                    Good point.

I think a great many Americans are particularly uncomfortable with this sort of idea regarding government in general. This, and the other good points Mr. Excessive brought up, are why I really don't see universal health care being adopted in the US any time soon. Although every couple of years some Democrat or other drags it back out of the basement looking to score some demagogery points.

I don't want universal health care. That would suck, because then you'd have crappy doctors and even crappier service. It'd be like going to the muther fukin DMV to get your finger sewed back on. Universal health care would suck so bad.

I pay 11 dollars a week outta my paycheck for FULL coverage. I like my independent health care and I hope it stays.

By the way canada, you suck....it's cold up there, a bunch of people speak french, and you know EVERYBODY hates the french, YOU HAVE BEARS!!!, and you've never fought a war.

Warm that biatch up, stop speaking french, get rid of the bears, and kill someone....Then....MAYBE, just maybe, we'll listen to your opinions...

Wow, you really are uninformed aren't you? Check your facts before denouncing an entire country. What war have you personally fought in? I think you are just trying to compensate for being incredibly insecure by shooting your mouth off in an internet forum. You really deserve a pat on the back.

ps - the US has bears and french people too genius.

and you've never fought a war.
During both the War of Independence and the war of 1812, american forces tried to annex the land that is now Canada. They failed miserably and were pushed back drawing the map of the continent as it appears today. Had they succeeded the american flag would fly today from the Yukon to The Rio Grande. Thankfully your military was as inept then as they are today

I would think that american arrogance about the supposed "might and grandeur" of your military would have diminished somewhat in light of their performance in many of their conflicts...or maybe you didn't realize that because you history books are full of lies. Allow me to educate you...

Korean war - The american government decides to end “meat grinder” war in which they are losing badly. They agree to a truce and eventually sign an armistice agreement with North Koreans and Chinese on July 27, 1953. Over 54000 american soldiers dead.

The Bay of Pigs Invasion 1961- The U.S. government staged an unsuccessful invasion of Cuba intended to foment an insurrection and overthrow the Communist regime of Fidel Castro. The Cuban army easily defeated the the american trained forces and by Apr. 20, most were either killed or captured. Over the years Fidel Castro has continually made fools of the american government by exposing their bungled assassination attempts and when the geniuses in the white house announced that the US would offer asylum to any Cubans who could reach american shores Castro opened the doors to his prisons and sent them to Miami. Pretty fucking hilarious if you ask me

The Gulf War 1991- The Americans charge in to defend Kuwait and end up blowing the shit out of it and causing enormous property damage and countless civilian deaths. Saddam Hussein was not removed from power. In fact, Hussein was free to turn his attention to suppressing internal Shiite and Kurd revolts, which the U.S.-led coalition did not support.

Afghanistan 2001 - The Taliban government harbored Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaeda terrorist group, responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. After Afghanistan refused to turn over Bin Laden, the U.S. invaded. Us forces were unable to locate Osama Bin Laden and he is still at large.

                                The Gulf War The Sequel,
George Junior Strikes back - Georgie porgie dupes the slack jawed moronic american masses in to believing that Saddam Hussein was somehow linked to the Sept 11th attacks. His administration creates phony evidence that Iraq is in the process of creating weapons of mass destruction even though every expert says that it is untrue and that even if it were true Iraq had no system to deploy an intercontinental weapon so there was absolutely no threat to the US. The US bombs the shit out of the country in their "Shock & Awe" campaign killing thousands of civilian men women and children...and a few Iraqi solders. The illegal, unjust invasion causes Muslims worldwide to unite and declare a full fledged "jihad" on the United States of Amerikkka. Extremists flock to Iraq to kill american soldiers. Every independent report that comes out of Iraq states that American forces are losing the battle against the insurgents while the evil Bush regime keeps on saying the opposite. The truth is that the American invasion has destabilized the region and turned virtually every muslim in the middleeast into an enemy who is willing to fight to the death to destroy as many americans whenever and where ever possible...and the rest of the world views your government as evil and the american people as culpable for allowing their government to commit these atrocities.

So you see my dim witted american friend your recent military history is not as spectacular as you've been led to believe. In fact it's pathetic.
