  • Last Season For Walker,Texas Ranger.....

I just heard Walker is ending in May.I know the plots are not the best in the world-but it is the only show on TV I know of that features BJJ& special appearances by people like Carlos Machado & Frank Shamrock.

I wish there were more BJJ/NHB type TV shows & movies(besides the "B"movies)

Maybe if there were a POSITIVE movie(not a Bloodsport) about NHB it might be more accepted.

    Taxas Ranger with a walker

I never like the show , it seemed to do to much, you bully, I kick bully's ass over and over crap.
I for one will be glad to see it go, hopefully along with WWF and Soap Operas.
If it's on one more season they'll have to call it Texas Ranger with a walker.

Chuck may be a nice guy and a good martial artist, but acting is not something that he was meant to do.... When I watch him I get embarrassed for him.

BJJ? Frank? Machados? I have seen a few episodes but none with any type of grappling at all. How many were there? Or was it kind of like a "guest starring" thing where they visit a grappling class, show it in that episode and that's it.

Maybe I can write a good story involving NHB
To be honest, the story I'm currently working on may be a fantasy/sci-fi kind of genre, but the main character does grapple, and in the way that a lot of people would want to cry out "jiu-jitsu!" when watching. (definately not a B-level thing at all)

But ....I'm way too ahead of myself here. LOL

Here in Italy, "walker, texas ranger" was put on air by a major network, for one season it was a succes, but whenever you mention Chuck Norris to an average teen, the average reply is "I know him, he was beaten to a pulp in the coliseum, didn't he?".

Chuck Norris is far from being a ranger on a walker....

He may be in his 50's-he seems to be in great shape-he trains with the Machados(has a Purple belt,I believe),races speedboats & works out on the Total Gym

His acting & the plots may not be the best-but the action is good. I have seen many times where he will use a rear-naked choke,juji-gatame&other Jiu-jitsu tech.
Usually when he can't finish some huge bad guy with punches&kicks he resorts to the grappling.

There was 1 episode where all the Machado's were featured-Carlos has had bit parts in several episodes.
Frank Shamrock was in an episode were he fought Chuck in a Pit-Fighting match.

I guess my only problem with Chuck Norris is his ad for Lone Wolf cigars-I just don't think that is a good example for a role model/martial artist(my opinion)
At least he has the Kick-Drugs out of America thing
