Why, oh why?!? is there such a fascination with Shamrock?!? Ok I read ther Lion's Den book, I know his bio, yada yada yada - But he's always had an unsportsmanlike bad attitude, we never see any of those slick grappling techniques he's supposed to be so good at, he's uglier than Freddy Kruger and he's done nothing but get beaten or beat up since UFC 1!!
I was just re-watching his match against Tito the other night and was really irritatede by all the hype around him - he was just so outclassed! Not pretty.

Dude it doesnt matter how pretty you are or how ugly you are. Its about the quality.

Shamrock is what 42 yrs old? and he is still fighting. He made his name alright but I think he didnt beat a bigger name in the UFC. Well at least he's now coaching on TUF3 vs Tito Ortiz. I want to see them fight in the finally. Their last fight wasnt really good for Shamrock cuz he was pressured and got intimidated to Ortiz.

Beauty is as beauty does. Muhammed Ali still brags about how pretty he is 'cause he never took as many hits as other fighters. And that takes superior skill. If you go 3 five-minute rounds and look like you're ready to go out on a date afterwards it means you fared well, mebbe better than the opponent. That's quality.

Fighters need to be judged on their appearance, it shows you're not a punching bag and it shows that you've got potential for movie$, adverti$ement$, talk $how$, etc.

          some random appraisals:

          Ken Shamrock - ugly
Frank Shamrock-kinda cute, but he's young and he'll be ugly someday
          Tito Ortiz - homely
          Randy Couture - born ugly
          Chuck Liddell - butt ugly
          Stephan Bonner - cute
Forrest Griffin - goofy-looking with an "Opie Taylor" kinda charm
Royce Gracie with hair - goofy-looking in a Latino kinda way
Royce Gracie with shaven head - scary looking-ugly
Rorion Gracie - Latin-lover gorgeous (looks a lot lot like a young Helio G)
Rich Franklin - cute like that teacher you fantasized about in high school
          Matt Hughes - gorgeous
          Phil Boroni - sax say
          Mark Kerr - gorgeous
Bas Rutten-ugly like my handyman carpenter

Hey guys I missed the UFN! Damn! What happened? Are there any replays? I only catched the TUF3 Premiere. The premiere is great.. I think this is going to be another good season for TUF.

I got this from UFC.com look at bonnars face. Bonnar Interview after the fight

That boy keep winning fights like THAT and he'll find hisself on my "ugly list".

Funny, he talking about gettin' some stitches some beer and gettin' laid.
Pity sex is so sweeeeet. I guess he's thinkin' he's still got enough energy left after the fight to "go a coupla more rounds". Ahhh, to be young again!

I watched Ultimate Fight Night Live on Spike TV and I was dissapointed...They only broadcasted 4 out of 9 fights!!! The Rashad Evans vs. Sam Hoger fight ended in the Unanimous decision of R.E. although Sam Hoger clearly won! Then there was Stephen Bonnar vs. Keith Jardine, and Jardine controlled the fight and got knocked down by Bonnar's punches once and recovered very quickly. Jardine also did alot of damage to Bonbar with awesome leg and head kicks. At the end of the fight everyone was booing at the outcome...Chris Leben dominated his opponent but couldnt finish it, and Josh Neer couldnt finish Joe Stevenson either. All the fights that were broadcasted were ended in U. decision.
However the fights that werent broadcasted had ACTUAL winners! Jon Fitch mounted Josh Burkman at ended it with a RNC. Dan Christison armbarred The Ultimate Fighter Brad Imes, but the best fight of the night was Josh Koschek's! Like he predicted, he FINISHED the fight in the first round with locking in a RNC to the ground, there was a struggle for a bit and then a tap out. The the fact is that 6 out of 9 fights were ended with a U.decision! UFC has to make their fighters fight more then 3 rounds, they should fight 5 rounds each fight! Any fighter who wins all their fights by decision(like Rashad Evans) will never be a top ranked fighter if he cant finish his fights!

Ok there's one more left this april. UFC:59 - Seeing Tito Ortiz in the TUF3 premiere, he looks like a cool coach than Shamrock. He's in good condition and no doubts he will own forrest. Still A. Arlovski vs. Sylvia, is the match to watch for.
