Damn!!! Was I wrong or what?? Make no mistake about it, Diego is an excellent fighter. The domination exhibited by Mayweather has to make him a solid contender for pound for pound greatness. At least compared to the current crop of fighters. Jones, Moseley, and Mayweather, in no particular order. Shows why it's called "the sweet science".

BOW DOWN TO THE BIRD!
I swear to god that their were times last night when I didnt know if I was watching a boxing match or masterpiece theater. I have not seen one fighter so thoroughly manhandled in I dont know how long. But if you go back to my original post I did predict a late rounds stoppage by Floyd Jr. Now that he is close again with his father I am back on the bandgwagon. He is the 3rd best fighter in boxing behind Jones and Trinidad. Corrales will never be the same,if you saw his interview after the fight you know what I am talking about. What about the opening fight? Castillio impressed the hell out of me. I dont see him beating Spadafora but thats just me sticking by my fellow white man. Anyways what a great night of boxing. Thats why HBO is the best in boxing. Look out next weekend on a late night KO Nation with 5 olympians making their pro debuts. Much like the night that Whitaker,Taylor,Briggs,Holyfield and Hill made their pro debuts.

Big Bird - what can I say?
When it comes to boxing, YOU DA MAN!!!!
Mayweather fought PHENOMINAL, and Corrales didn't throw a jab all night. What was that rush for all 12 rounds if he wasn't going to throw something coming in????? He just waited 'til he was close to Mayweather, and tried some half-assed right, but was never on the money because of Mayweathers superb foot work.
I started to think around the 6th or 7th that it was a "work", but I was proven wrong with when the towel came in.
It was a good stoppage on behalf of Corrales's father. It was a hard pill for Diego to swallow.
When Merchant asked him if he was going to move up and fight there, I was thinking what I thought Corrales would have said; "no Larry, I'm not moving up just yet, I'd like a rematch", but there was just so much going through his head at that time, he was just trying to cope with his first loss. Why would he move up and fight a heavier (and possibly stronger) fighter, when his business is not done at the 130lb weight division? This is what I was thinking. It's easy to predict when you're not the fighter.
So, what about Mayweather and Hamed? I believe what Merchant said, that Hamed won't go near him after that fight last night.
You like them both BB - what do you think?
Ronnie.

Corrales is just to damn big for 130 anymore. I am shocked he made the weight as long as he did. I was 5'10 and fought between 125-139 as my body filled out. I have no idea how a 23 year old man can make 130 at 6' its just amazing.
He will go up to 135 and should clean up the division. Castillo will sit there and bang with him. Spadafora is vulnerable and Lorcy wont leave Europe.
That is just a maybe. I honestly think he is ruined as a fighter now. You saw the interview ronnie,I have never seen a fighter in that bad of shaped during a post fight interview.
If I was in the corner I would not have stopped that fight. No way in hell. He was losing badly, but wasnt taking a beating that would have merited a stoppage. I would have let it go. Corrales deserves that. He is not some 4-6 round fighter he is a world champion. He deserves that much respect.
As for Hamed he is going to avoid Mayweather like an aids patient at a gay bath house.
