I recently had the disctinct pleasure of viewing the excellent Gracie In action series available from http://www.gracieacademy.com . In it I heard the history of Gracie Jib Juts which apparently originated from a Japanese Jib Juts man known as Count Komai. This made me wonder how different is the Gracie Jib Juts of today from the original style brought to Brazil by Count Komai? It also made me ask the question, which is the real father of Brazilian Jib Juts? Is it really the Gracie Family or indeed should we acknowledge Count Komai as the real father of Brazilian Jib Juts?
What exactly have the Gracie family changed from the style taught to them by Mr. Komai?
