Real self defense and common sense applications are frowned upon in a large portions by this forum.

And people wonder why all the combative sites require a real name to log on, or they go underground completely.
I said what he was being handed was the shit sandwhich and if someone is out there saying that BJJ is not effective then that is what they're doing. If his instructor, who apparently calls his art "DEFENDO" tells him that then yes he's feeding his students a shit sandwhich.

No, maybe thats your story now....

My homework is done and you need to get back to school because someone is apparently selling you a sh*t sandwhich and making you smile about it by wrapping it up in a nice little commercial package and calling it "DEFENDO".
Perhaps thats what you'd like to backtrack and clarify NOW but that isnt what you said. I see nothing about "if he said bjj sucks he's selling you a shit sandwich"

What kind of bread would you make a "shit sandwich" on? I mean if you had to eat one...like if it was mandatory, life or death or something. Whole wheat? Rye? French?

For me it would have to pumpernickel

Dude, don't even bother explaining to BoringSpit, he knows what you meant but he can't resist any excuse to exercise his psychotic fear of BJJ for some reason, even if it means weakly defending numbskulls like POoBadly here.

This was because the officers in charge knew they would look for trouble if they were allowed firearms so they were only allowed knives Today you will have back up and multiple weapons to rely on, and the H2H training reflects this...
I thought special forces were allowed Silencers? Is that against the rules of war? ie. Silencers

-if you don't train to fight against multiple attackers you wont be able to defend well against multiple attackers.

-If you don't train to defend against weapons you wont be able to defend well against an opponent with weapons.

-if you don't train to defend against a surprise attack you will be less able to defend against a surprise attack.

-If you only train to fight on a mat you're not going to fight as well on pavement.

-If you don't train to take a blow to the head you will be less likely to take blows to the head.

It's not rocket science boys...you become good at what you train at. I train to fight in full attack mode against multiple attackers with weapons on concrete...you train to roll around with you buddies on a mat.

                            Do the math

Well the thing I dont understand is that everyone one who doubts bjj always uses the "there are no mats on the street therefore it is not useful in an actual attack" Now I dont know about you but in an actual steet fight scraping my elbows would be the last of my concerns........... And as for training against fighting multiple attackers and weapons..Not that you shouldent but I dont see how any amount of traning could help you win a confrontation like this.. Seems to me like the best weapon in a situation like that is a good pair of running shoes

Depending on the weapon and catridge silencers can be effective, but they wear out quickly and affect accuracy, they also added bulk to a weapon.

Besides every dude doesnt get a hush puppy.
