It may be a good thing...attract more people to the sport.
I'm serious...it's not a bad thing, who knows...up the pool of competitors and we may find more exciting and powerful fighters.

and let's face it...there's something mildly homoerotic in all one on one competitive sports...especially combat sports. Even boxing. Remember "****" comes from "fricken"-to strike. Budo sports have deep ties to homoeroticism (everything from karate to judo, to kendo {read any Yukio Mishima, esp. confessions of a mask, or the short story "sword"), so does wrestling, and the Korean martial arts as well...damn, do you even see some of the scary ass trannies and transvestites in the thai boxing world today??? uh, i dont know about that. if you are like booradley and uke and want to be donimated by muscular jiu jitsu men and big wrestlers thats fine, but not everyone sees it that way. when im at the gym training i am there to put in hard work(no pun intended), learn, and get better. there aint anything erotic about it. im just there to train. martial arts is about self control. you need to learn to keep your shit in check. all that shit should be kept off the mat inmop. if you dont even have enough self control to keep your perverted fantasies and compulsions to yourself for an hour you shouldnt even be in martial arts period.
