I have been living in Brasil for the last 4 years. I have written a course on how to survive there especially for guys who want to train jiu jitsu. It would be very useful for anyone going for a week or a year +! A prerelease version is being offered right now to gain feedback. We are selling 20 on ebay and others at fight events on the weekends. I will give one away free to the person who sends me the best email on why "they want to train/live in Brazil". Email must be submitted by July 11th. send to info@doitinbrazil.com . check out directfrombrazil ebay store too. stores.ebay.com/directfrombrazil thanks.

Well , for the hott chicks, that should be the main reason. For the quality fights you can get into on the beaches and streets, where everyone knows BJJ, thats great competition.Originally posted by ValeTudo007I have been living in Brasil for the last 4 years. an mma fighter i know told me when he went to brazil, they str8 up broke his elbow as soon as he got on the mat as a way of initiating him, and told him he was to keep rolling regardless of his arm. he could have been bsing me, but i thought he was being for real.

Sounds like BS to me. The guys in Rio def 'go harder' though - when they're sparring, there's often more of a fighting spirit than a training one.
The first time I trained at Roylers, he put me with one of his top black belts to 'demonstrate' how good his students are. He choked me out 3 times in 8 mins. I was seeing stars for days!
Having said that, it's a friendly technical club with a good atmosphere.
