  • Has anyone seen "Final Fu" on mtv2? wow...

Yeah so I was flipping through the channels tonight and I came across "Final Fu." From what I gather it's a reality TV show where the final winner gets $25,000 I think.

Essentially it's based on challenges like climbing through jungle gyms and also on point sparring where no facial contact, no grappling/clinching, or elbowing is allowed.

Basically it's like The Ultimate Fighter for McDojo black belts. I was watching the point sparring and a guy got points taken off for kicking the lower leg of his opponent, another guy got points taken off for punching his opponent in the back of the body.

Though the show made me sick to my stomach, I do suppose that there is a large amount of McDojo'ers out there that may take part in viewing, who knows maybe the show will be a success if enough people believe that what they are showing is actually martial arts.

That show is the most fantastic joke I've ever seen played on the martial arts. Lamest concievable fight rules.

It's almost bad enough to require laws on selective breeding.

You know this show is a bad joke when the "fighters" on the it are calling Final Fu the "ultimate martial arts title". If you even hit someone too hard or youre too aggressive, you'll get point deductions or a DQ. And then youll be scolded by Earnie Reyes Jr. that you must control your techniques. In one match, some guy was sort of knocked down by a weak leg kick so he sommersaulted to the side. From then on, he kept sommersaulting and rolling around. He claimed it was because of his Judo background to evade his opponent like that. And then some other dipshit said, "At least i know my techniques work in a real situation now because ive tested them". The winner of the show gets to be the Final Fu Champion, a roll in the next season of Power Rangers and 25 grand.

do you think they would have allowed a muay thai kickboxer to be on the show?

to me it is giving martial arts a bad rap i seen it too and man how dumb and the guy on the i for get his name well any way the master he did point fighting and forms competions when he was young then he tired getting in the ring as a muay tai fighter i believe and got his ass kicked.but to me the reason why it is giving martial arts a bad name is cause the first time one person gets hit with just a lil force some one crys and are some thing but what ever.

After all, they let the Ninja in. I'll bet he'd do a lot better if they gave him his sword, his stars, and his manriki, though. That might put the sport back in the show!!
manrikigurasai! YEAAAAAAAAAAAA ninja. Have you EVER seen the karate tournaments on ESPN? The weapons forms, and stuff??? I can see MTV allowing the dude some krotty and nunja weapons, but they might make him do an interpretive dance with them.

They should let someone like Buakaw in. He'd just break all of their legs so they couldn't compete the rest of the show. Whoops, went to hard, sorry. Oh, I tried to shield, sorry...I was just walking forward, I didn't mean to stomp down on your kneecap and shin, sorry...etc.

Earnie's had 3 Kickboxing bouts, two of his opponents were handpicked and those were the cans he did well against. Doesnt change the fact that he sucks.

                              ahem...FVCK POINT SYSTEMS!
Learn to fight, not play fucking tag...these people suck at life. I'd rather they look like rock'em sock'em robots, because then one of their bitch asses would have to be actually HITTING the other one. Hitting? Foreign concept?
I've seen better fights at beauty parlors! This shit is ridiculous!
Seriously, watching this shit is giving me stomach pains and gas...I think I'm getting an ulcer, and then SOMEBODY has to come along and post some ass-ramming, sphincter clenching statement like "oh...their point system needs to change."
Yeah...I agree...let them have points, but give them knives...that might be interesting. watch one of them krotty kick a knife and see his calf muscle drop to the ground. HAR HAR HAR.
