Oma, in all seriousness, what's the point of going for 5 rounds if you can only fight for 2 of them? I'm a BJ Penn fan, but he get bested. He beat Hughes in the first round last time, and thought he could do it again. If you only count what happens in the first two rounds, why go for five at all? Cardio is just as important as any other skill in fighting.
If you're in a street fight, and you charge in and start hammering the guy, walking all over him, then gass, he manages to get up, and kicks the shit out of you and puts you in hospital, will anyone go "Yeah, Omo really won the fight, he proved he had more skill. He's the REAL winner of the fight". No, ofcourse not. You lost. It doesn't matter when you lose, if you lose, you lose, whatever happened before you lost doesn't matter. Points don't count if you get KO'd

I know but Penn didnt have time to train for the fight properly, had he, we'd have the real champ with his belt back. Instead, we have some guy who is lousy at takedowns, lousy at subs, lousy on his feet. A lousy champ ! lol

You can't say that for certain (Didn't Penn have a fight anyway and just got rescheduled to fight Hughes? Shouldn't he have been training for that fight?)

I'd LOVE to see a rematch between these two guys, and I'm sure there will be, but Hughes won this round, and no one can say for sure whether Penn would have won had he had more notice.

Penn showed the far better skills he just couldnt last, in the first two round anything that Huges threw at BJ failed. But as stated cardio is just a big a part of the game as anything else.

I dont understand this. Shouldnt these guys be training all the time? I mean, im no pro fighter and I still manage to get my cardio up, roll three times a week at least and lift weights while working and going to school full time. I dont know what these guys are doing if not training. And I waste a lot of time. They must be just sitting around or something eating food because to be out of shape and gassed after only a couple rounds means you are in bad condition, nto just decent condition. I can roll for an hour no problem. I dont know, maybe Im being harsh and not taking into account everything but these dudes should really be training harder.

Watch the first fight, then watch the 1st 2 rounds of the last one before the untrained Penn gasses. If its not painfully clear to you who the far better fighter is, at all levels, then I cant help you, youre a lost cause
