  • Gracie National Tournament Rules?

Does anyone know what the rules for Rorion's tournaments are?

From reading other posts/threads, GJJ does not believe in time limits or points, so I don't know how they determine victory in a fight without a submission.

    Thanks!

This is an approximation. Someone else may be able to come closer to the exact rules:

    No time limit

Win by sub or first to 12 pts

3(?) pts for passing someone's guard

    5(?) pts for mounting

5(?) for taking the back with hooks in

Heel-hooks forbidden, and possible knee-bars also

    No small-joint attacks

Shrimp is close. Last year it was sub or first to 12 points.
      NTL
      Points were:
3 points if you get cross body chest to chest. It doesn't matter if it comes from passing the guard, a takedown or a reversal, or any other way.
4 points for mount, both knees on the mat
4 points for back mount, hooks in or knees flat on mat.
