  • Motels in Amsterdam?

Im wondering if anyone can recommend a reasonable Motel in Amsterdam? I know that there is a very undesirable seedy element over there full of sex workers and drug cafe's.
This is where I would like to stay

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Guys, what is the duchman to do? He's got a real life ninja gunning for him- I'm kinda worried for the little guy.

The closer Shimora gets, the more nervous duchman seems to get. Calm down young lad, I'm sure that a ninja will make it quick and painless for you, right Shim?

            Cheers

There are no motels in Amsterdam--not in the sense of parking next to your room. What you can find there, though, are hotels and hostels.

There are many of both types in and around the red-light district. I try to arrive on a Mon or Tues, and I have never had a problem finding a room (no reservations). If you arrive on a Fri or Sat, especially in Summer, you will have problems finding a room.

If you are travelling alone or with a buddy, I recommend you stay in a hostel. Simpler and not as private, but you'll meet some great people. Often the people I meet are the highlight of my trip. For some reason Amsterdam seems to attract the most fascinating people on Earth.

They don't have motels in Amsterdam you dumbass.

                1. Shimoron isn't going to Amsterdam.

                2. If he did he wouldn't dare tell duchman where he's staying for fear of a royal european ass-whipping.

The only thing "real" about Shimoron is his pedophilia.

Pass the duchie from zee left hand side....

                  "LOOSER!!"

What is looser? What the hell are you talking about?

"YOU DON'T HAE THE GUTS TO COME TO MY HOUSE!!"

Who said anything about coming to your house? Dont get your hopes up romo.

                  "HAHAHA!
TELL ME WHERE YOU AT, I WILL COME OVER TO FIGHT YOU"

As if I would do that. Im a lover not a fighter. Im coming to Amsterdam to go window shopping. Maybe visit a cafe or two. If I get time I might do some surveillance but its more of a non working vacation.

"P.S DON'T BUY A TWO-WAY TICKET, YOU WILL GO BACK IN A BOX"

Actually I hope to be in a box or two while im over there.

You are a funny little kid duchman, lol keep it up.

You do know, shimora, that you need to keep those ninja powers under wraps. You can't be chasing children around the playground anymore, threatening to give them the touch of death.

                      Avoid the following streets
After dark: the alleyways of Nieuwendijk - a mugger's delight, and pretty foul; the Southern end of Zeedijjk and the streets off it. Sleazy and riddled with miserable-looking junkies; Damrak - the worst, tackiest, neon-infested tourist excess in the country.

You can stay at the Bulldog Hostel for $16 a night and that includes breakfast. You sleep in a room full of pillows with a bunch of strangers like a commune.Look for the Carlson Gracie Bulldog.Thats what they use on their sign.

Try the Hotel Okura. It is excellent and as you must know, the other branch of the hotel is in Tokyo. Cabs are cheap there so you can make it down to the Red Light district in 10 minutes by taxi from there.

                              Hookah Smoker,

My point exactly, i'll be pulling up a chair in a "cafe" and not moving for 2 weeks. The only duchie i'll be handling is the one that gets passed from ze left hand side.
