OK, so I've been wanting to start doing a martial art for a while, whether it be bjj, boxing, muay thai, whatever. I just never really got around to it. I'm 14 , I live in Queens New York, and I have to know if any of you know of any decent schools/gyms. When I get into high-school next year, I will take wrestling. So whether it be BJJ, Boxing, or Muay Thai, or even something else, please help me out here.

Can you make it out to lower Manhattan? I can personally recommend some great places there.
I used to live in Queens and I remember it was pretty hard to find a good school there.
If you want to box though you should be able to find a local PAL gym, and they'll teach you for free. At 14 I'd consider myself lucky if I could get the time to make it out to Manhattan just to train martial arts so the PAL gym might be your best option.

I trained there for a while. Good Muay Thai, and the people you will train with will in general be bigger and better than you. But they're also nice guys so they'll help you learn. Good kali instruction as well, and Simon is a great guy and teacher. You'll get a lot of time to work with him in the kali classes b/c they're generally smaller. They even offer BJJonce a week, when they bring in a grappling instructor.
Pretty easy to get to by either the R or E lines from Queens. Pricey, but IMO worth it.
This place had more of a sport Muay Thai oriented focus. I didn't train there but I know guys who've trained under Phil Nurse and they turned out pretty damn good. I did check it out though and it looked like a nice place, very clean, good equipment.
