These rankings are based on a fighter's accomplishments. I try to avoid ranking one fighter ahead of another based on speculation, because I think he can beat the other guy, or because he is stronger, faster or has superior technique. For how many of us thought Buster Douglas was going to get KTFO’d by Mike Tyson. Or, to cite a more recent happening in MMA, who assumed legend Jens Pulver was going to trounce unknown Joe Lauzon last September? Would even one in a hundred diehard fans have predicted that loss, and in such quick, brutal fashion?

Pretty good list.

Don't necessarily always agree with placement, but the list of those who made it is not a bad one IMO.

There are others I would've included in the runners up list as well but with so many names to choose from I know it's hard.
