Hello everyone.
I wanted to get everyone's opinion on something. As everyone knows I'm busy and broke these days. So I had to put a hold on some of my BJJ dojo training, and even getting together with some old sparring friends (though I still occasionally do this)
Anyway, I am always trying to find the time to put in my training, if nothing more than habit. Recently I have been doing lots of calisthenics, lifting weights, and doing lots of drills, and G&P on wrestling dummies, etc.
I doubt I'll be winning any trophies with this basic training, but do you guys think it's okay for the time being? Ground/Pound and submission drills on a dummy won't let you beat another grappler probably, but do you think that kind of training is enough from just a basic self-defense standpoint? Keeping in mind that I've had a few years of hardcore rolling behind me.

My martial art has kind of gone down to a hobby at this point. Though I still get a few good days in my schedule.
What are your thoughts?
Take care,
Ryu
