Whilst I agree with some of the 'red neck' comments regarding the UFC audience, and also that Pride does have the better quality of fighters, I suspect that those who suggested that this card was a card of mis-match's may very well be eating their virtual words now

How does pride have the better quality fighters?

LW- Gomi just got gogoplata'd and knocked the shit out of, by an ex UFC guy coming off a bunch of losses, sure he was a welterweight, but if you can make the weight you can fight at it. I dont care what excuses Gomi or his fans have, he still lost.

WW - As in the UFC WW 170 pounds, GSP, Hughes, Penn, plus pride doesnt even have a 170 division, but still the UFC would murder anything pride could put out here.

MW - (183 and 185) Gotta give this one to pride, simply because Paulo Filho will destroy anyone, also whether or not Silva or Franklin (hes still fucking good morons) would do well against some of Pride's top guys, pride simply has more. Hendo, Kang, I dont know about Misaki he won the GP but he lost to Trigg. This one goes to pride simply for Filho, and I think thye have the slight edge in having more top level fighters.

205 - Well... this is kinda fucked now cause silva just got KTFO by a 183 guy.. soo... and lil nog getting that flash KO, so... sorta fucked up, its a toss up, I guess I'd have to pick Shogun as the top guy in the weight class.. probably Lidell after that... who the **** knows.

HW - Pride has Fedor, UFC has crocop.... thats obviously 1 and 2, or 1 and 3 (gotta give Nog his due).


Look the point is they are pretty close in having the top talent, in every weight division , neither is better.

UFC has good fighters no doubt, as a whole, they have better fighters than PRIDE, ill give them that.

But in no way, shape or form, does any UFC show/event beat a PRIDE(not including Bushido) event.

Here's the facts, UFC 68, before the main event, even with all their good fighters fighting, like Babalu, Hughes, Franklin, the show was STILL really bad and lackluster. But then Randy whooped Tims ass so that made the show great.

LW- Toss up. But i think Aoki could beat Sherk no doubt. But alot of other UFC 155ers could beat PRIDE's top guys as well.

WW- Speaks for itself

MW- PRIDE, no doubt. Kang, Filho, Henderson,

LHW- I think Liddell could beat everyone, but PRIDE's division is more stacked. Overeem could probably take Chuck now. He has the best style to do it.

HW- UFC has CC now, but PRIDE has Fedor. I do believe Fedor would beat him but i would be alot more close than it was before.

PPV events, and i watch them all for free, so im not worried about how good of a deal im getting...

On Pay Per Views did you take into account that you get 3 or 4 ufc ppv's, as well as one or two UFN's.

I'd rather watch 4 UFC's and 2 UFNs than one pride ppv.

the only problem regarding ufc is the lack of fights if anything. the damn show shoud start at like 8 and have a large number of fights. there are plenty of fighters...plenty. i mean they have the ufc fight nights on tv a couple times a month. they definetly could fit more good fighters on a ppv that cost 40 friggin dollars. i mean the ones on tv are much better half the time anyway.

Actually we got 1 UFN, and 2 UFC's since PRIDE NYE to PRIDE 33. Whatever though, UFC tries to sell the bare minimum for 40 bucks. Pretty much all their PPV events are TOTALLY NOT worth 40 bucks, but the casual ultimate fightin noob dont know that.

However, for an MMA fan, if you've got the cash to spare, or the time to go to a bar and watch, I say why not?

Yeah, on paper the Pride matchups are always better, and usually the events also turn out better overall.

However, you're missing out on the up and coming guys if you only focus on the big established names.

Also, UFC 70 will be free on basic cable. Get to watch Bisping and Crocop demolish their opponents for free...sounds good to me.

Dude, i never said i didnt watch UFC. In fact ive watched every single UFC PPV live (since ufc 60), i just watch it for free. Same thing with the pride, k1 and bodog fight events too.
