What if you found out your favorite NHB fighter was...

a homosexual? Would you still be a fan of his?
I recently saw someone post at the OG that
there are some top heavyweight boxers who are
gay but keep it low profile or hidden.
This disturbed somewhat because I didn't think one could be so tough yet be gay.

What are your thoughts on this? I think I would still be a fan of the fighter even if he was gay.

yeah it already happened! i used to be a fan of vitor's until full contact fighter reported that he posed for some "artistic" photos in a gay magazine in brazil. he may or may not be gay, but that makes him guilty by association.

I was crushed when I found out my favorite NHB fighter, Bobby "the butt pincher" Steeles was a homosexual.
At first, I was rather disgusted, and I got kind of angry as well when I thought about Bobby making passes at men in gay bars, trying to sniff the ass of forum members at Mousel's, etc.
.....but now. I don't know...I want to be "tolerant" I guess. So hell, if bobby_steeles wants to be gay, that's his own choice! I support him 100% no matter what his sexual orientation is.

Probably, I'm not very homophobic, plus anyone who steps into a NHB fight is more of a man than me lol!!! I don't think it would be a problem unless he gave unusually long hugs to his opponent after a fight... What two men do in there bed room is there business and thats fine, most truly homophobic people are a little bit gay themselfes, just deathly afraid to show it.

You don't ahve to be "homophobic" to be against/dislike homosexuality/gays. Remember, phobia = fear. Just because a person dislikes/disapproves of something, it means he's scared of it? Smells like BS to me. Are you "obesephobic" because you don't like fat people? "Racistphobic" because you dislike racism? Personally I dislike the term homophobic because it's misused all too often.

I agree. I think it takes guts to admit being gay when you're a recognizable figure in society.

I agree with Ronin, I'd rather not know at all, regardless of whether they're gay, straight, bi, neuter, or whatever.

But incidentally, there are a couple of pro MMA fighters who are gay that I know of, maybe more.
