  • Ffc Submission Grappling Open - Naga Sanctioned - In Miami, Fl On May 5

Just giving a reminder to everyone that the FFC Submission Grappling Open is coming soon to Miami, Florida. The event is going to be taking place May 5th, at Coral Reef High School in Miami. The event is a NAGA sanctioned event and does count towards NAGA points. It is one of several events set by NAGA to determine who is the best in the Southeast.
The tournament has kid, teen, women, senior, and adult divisions. There are also many weight classes and skill levels - such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. There will also be an absolute division which anyone can enter. The winner of the absolute division will win a Championship Belt! All the competitors may compete in as many events as they want - at no extra charge. So if you lose your first match in beginner - you may compete in intermediate for free!

If you register before April 14, you pay only $35! If you register at the door, it will cost $50. So save $15 and register now! The matches will take place on 26' x 26' mats! The mats are new high quality zebra mats. We will also be having a raffle for all the competitors and spectators! We will be giving out shirts, caps, gear, and the grand prize - a Sega Dreamcast with the UFC Video Game!

At the event, we will also be having two great superfights:

Mike Cardoso (USA Abu Dhabi Qualifier) vs Federico Pereira (FFC Lightweight Finalist)

    and

Roger Neff (Former USA Greco-Roman Olympic Alternate) vs Wade Rome (Former 3-Time NCAA All-American)

Don't miss out on all the action! For all the rules, registration forms, directions, etc.,

I forgot to mention, the Wade Rome and Roger Neff Superfight is a rematch of the Arnold Classic 8-man final. Wade Rome won over Roger Neff by a close decision in the Finals. No takedowns were scored. Both men are both looking forward to the rematch and I expect the match to be great! Both men are huge (over 260 each) and great wrestlers.
In the lightweight superfight, Mike Cardoso will be facing Federico Pereira. Cardoso is a USA Abu Dhabi qualifier and a master grappler. He will be facing FFC Lightweight Finalist Federico Pereira. Pereira and Cardoso were supposed to fight a NHB fight a while ago - but the fight never happened. Both fighters are from South Florida and it is about time that these two face off. This match should be a war. Pereira is a warrior - in his last MMA fight, he fought the longest fight in American MMA history at over 1 hour and 20 minutes!

If you are in the South Florida area, you won't want to miss out on the action!

Also, Judy Neff (Roger's wife) will be competing in the women's division.
