    Don't feel bad.

You win some, lose some - in martial arts, especially combat sports that involve grappling and striking, you will loose more in the beginning because you are learning.

    Analyze why you lost.

Train the hell outta whatever your weak point was, get back in and fight.

Hey man don't worry about it. It's a shame that you felt you didn't fight at your best - that's worse than losing. I have had some good fights with people and lost. It doesn't matter. They were just better, more experienced martial artists.

If you fought Renzo Gracie and lost would you feel bad? I wouldn't, but I would put everything in to making it the best fight of my life

I have come out of tournaments the champ, but felt cheated because the fights didn't really test me. Similarly I have been destroyed in tournaments and felt great about it because it has taught me a lot.

The quote is that you can learn more from one loss than a thousand victories.
Pick yourself up, enjoy the fact that you at least got in the ring with the guy and keep going.

      Be strong dude

Screw that! He should feel bad. If he doesn't feel bad about losing he's never gonna win. The whole "Oh, everything's a learning experience" is all well and good, but don't bury him in feel-good bullshit.

Sure, no one wins every freakin' go in practice and such but when someone gets comfortable with losing he becomes...you know what.

Look at the first few responses, LHW. Your question/concern was answered directly, maturely/professionally as possible. We keep things light hearted here and cut up quite a bit, so don't take offense to little jokes here and there.

PS - jubaji likes to initiate the new guys...

actually, he needs some respite from jerking off to his matt blake fantasies all day and night, so when he isnt balled up and nearly breaking his own neck from trying to suck himself off while matt blakes blue gi flashes through his mind and sweat drips off his brow, he will throw out a few one liners here and there with the eyerolling smiley at the end.

wait till he starts picking on you for spelling mistakes and typos, thats when he really hits rock bottom, not unlike his marriage that failed after his wife got tired of watching her man-child stay up all night on the computer trying to talk to guys like dickhardman and matt blake instead of trying to pound her so hard into the bed that they end up in the basement.
