  • Pride 13 live play-by-play

Saw this on the Underground. For you hardcores out there you might like this. It's some guy living in Japan who recently got into MMA and is doing a live voice play-by-play of Pride events.

You need to go to paltalk.com and download a plugin to participate. Sounds like a blast if you want to stay up for the event.

Here's part of his post on the Underground:

    How to join the broadcast:

The PRIDE13 Live play-by-play will be broadcast through PALTALK this time. You can download PALTALK free at www.paltalk.com .

It's very easy to get going. Once you have the application open, click the GROUPS button on the top right. A new window will open a list of
group categories. Scroll down the list until you see the category called SPORTS - RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES and click on it. Before you
can see PRIDE13 in the new list, you will need to check the box that says SHOW ADULT GROUPS, or select it from the options menu. Once
you check this, Adult Groups will appear on the list and you will find PRIDE13. Click it and you will be asked for a password.

    Password: sakbysub

Put in the password and the PRIDE13 room will open. Be sure to test your sound before March 25. There are special rooms with people who
will help you and the FAQ is pretty good. I'll try to keep that room open, so it can be used as a chatroom. You can text chat there and listen
    to fighters intro music. Enjoy!!

    What exactly is this?

Simply, we live in Japan and are watching the Pride broadcast on PPV in my living room. We open up a forum in FIRETALK and tell
everyone what is happening. The cool thing about FIRETALK is that as we are doing the broadcast, we are also reading your chat. Ask us a
question and will can usually answer it immediately. As anyone who has listened can tell you, we are not doing this because we are good
announcers, or particularly knowledgable of Martial Arts. We just happen to be here and enjoy doing this.

    Who are we?

OsakaWilson (also known as WilsonJP on the Underground) teaches Computer Technologies and Communications in a Japanese university
in Osaka. I've lived in Japan for 10 years. I do research on and design internet-based multi-user communication and education. You might call
this broadcast a testing ground so that I have a handle on it when I introduce these technologies to my students.
