Greetings fellow FMArtists. I am fairly new to the FMAs and wanted to know what is the difference between Lameco and other various types of Escrima? I'm looking to train under private instruction on a weekly basis and wanted to gather insights and information on this system before I start.

"...Constitution...Godd@mned piece of paper!"
George W Bush
“Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.”
Henry Kissinger
"There is no proletarian, not even a Communist, movement, that has not operated in the interests of money, in the direction indicated by money, and for the time being permitted by money — and that without the idealists among its leaders having the slightest suspicion of the fact."
Oswald Spengler
Lameco
Are you in Beaumont? Lameco uses a set of drills called Labon Larow which are continuous exchanges. Single stick, double stick, Espada Y Daga and knives are included. There is an emphasis on powerful strokes. There are 3 sets of 12 attacks, 2 sets of 12 combos and about 60 labon larow patterns. If you go to the Beaumont school you'll get some pekita tersia and JKD thrown in too.
