variety is the key to burning yourself out.

but as others have stated , there is a difference between hard work and dilegence and overtraining

you got the right attitude, now feel your way through and find what works best for through experimentation

Wow. You are overdoing it. Your central nervous system is going to shut down and your immune system is going to go into suppression. Trust me. I speak from experience.

      Here's a workout for you:

      Monday:
      Incline Bench Press 4x12
      Pull ups 4x12
      squats or leg press 4x20
      stretch.

      Thursday:
      Bench press 4x6
      Bent over dumbell Row 4x6
      squats or leg press 4x12
      stretch.

Add weight as you get stronger.

warm up sets as needed. throw in some direct shoulder and arm work if you want but go easy on that like 2-3 sets only.

Lose the kettle bell crap, yoga, swiss balls. Lift weights to build strength.

Your MMA workouts will take care of your cardio. That's all you need.
This is obviously just one way to do it.

haha uhhh wow... first of all i have been doing most of those lifts for about 4-5 months now, you sound exactly like my brother.. joe is that you?

second.. to call kettle bells and yoga crap makes me throw your opinion right out the window..

and third... my central nervous system and immune system are going to shut down because the way I am training? I have been doing this for 5 months and havent had either problems.. not even remotely.. I think ill just have a mod delete this thread and head to another forum.. Thanks for the insight though.

but research yoga a bit.. you will see its VERY good for MMA or any MA for that matter.. Thanks!
