April Cagefighting Is Gettin Good In Az!!

Well, I gotta say that April cagefighting is really shaping up. Bushido is coming this month, and it looks like the best card Arizona has EVER seen. That will be at the Ice House. I'm also proud that Rage In The Cage has finally recognized the fans and is charging 20 dollars for the fans to enjoy good seating. As you'll recall, I came up with that idea a while back, and appaerantly people listened. That will take place at the Celebrity Theatre.
I'm out to save MMA in Arizona, so I'm glad that things are shaping up. I will be there to support these events, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. I'm not sure if there will be an AZ extreme challenge this month or not. If there is any mat time available in AZ, let me know. Props 2 April Cagefighting in AZ.

It was a good idea to lower the prices. I think prices were lowered for a couple reasons. With Bushido moving in and bringing in some quality fighters from outta state, they could get a pretty good following and may take some business from RITC. A possiblility, but hasnt happened yet. Also, prices at Celebrity Theatre were rediculous. It is their own advertising that says, There is no bad seat in the house, due to all seats being 75' or closer to the stage. So why would someone want to pay more than they had to if all seats were good. Also, by lowering prices, I think they plan on bringing in more people. As whoever was there the last two shows could see, they were about half full. Compared to the first show that was close to being sold out. But i believe that was due to it being perceived as a new thing since it was held at a new event. Also, for the people who really love to watch fights, it gets expensive to go every month if your paying for good seats. So, that probably brought the attendance down too. Probably a smart move to bring prices down for now. Get the people wanting to come back month after month, then raise the prices.

Well, If you think about it, you'll make more money with lower prices anyways. If you fill up the arena at 20 dollars a head, that will be more I think than halfway full, with 80% going at the 25 dollar rate anyways, and maybe a small group paying high prices. Plus that leaves people with more money for drinks t-shirts etc.
They could raise the prices again, but I think that the more people in the crowd, the better event you have.

From what it sounds like, this is a one time thing. Most likely to get the crowds back up and also likely due to the fact Bushido is a week before RITC and may draw a big crowd that might not want to pay big money for another event just a week away. Im not sure if RITC can fill Celebrity every month. The last two shows have been just a little bigger than when it was at Midnight Rodeo. Also, Im sure part of the high prices was due to Celebrity Theatre getting their cut. But as most people know, there is no bad seat in the house, so why pay more?

Unfortunately, a couple people have had to cancel their fight in Bushido, one of which i was looking forward to, because I would like to fight him in the future, but I believe they still have a card with lots of quality fighters.

Yes, believe it or not my hand is still not ready for a real closed fist battle, As you could probably see in my last match, I didn't even attempt to throw a punch, but it was easy against that guy I fought, I dont think Bushido would have the same outcome, and I know I'll rebreak my hand, but they have me scheduled for the next show they throw, I would also like to add a few more victories on to my wins category before the next Bushido. Are you going to be a referee at that one?
I'll still be there to support Bushido, and I'll bring a couple people at least, and should my hand completely heal by then, I will fight. I'm probably going to fight at rage in the cage later this month because open handed punching doesn't hurt at all. I was scheduled to fight Jeremy Edwards, then Jason House, then Randy Lavrar, and finally some guy from Idaho. Oh well, that's where the chips fell. -Stusskilla-

Yes, I have talked to the promoters and I will be judging and also refing a couple fights. I plan on fighting in the following show also, but dont want to mention my opponant because I think it gives me the edge if he doesnt know anything about me. I've seen him fight, and Im getting a tape of the last Bushido to study his last fight. I definately have the overall experience on him but he has more NHB fights in the ring. Also, he is undefeated so far i think. Could be a good fight. It gives me a couple months to get ready for it though. I wanted to fight on this card but too many things came up so I will just work it. I plan on working as judge or ref when Im not fighting as i did for RITC. A good opportunity to meet some great people.

I think everyone should go to RITC that way you can watch Rolands guys beat on over matched,out weighed and under paid opponenets. HEll the least he could do is pay for a hotel room. C'mon think about it any school that is like 48-2 in mma at RITC there is something wrong there. You can obviously tell Roland makes the matches for his guys. Cant wait for the wake up call they recieve once they start fighting at other shows.

The next Bushido will be even better than this Bushido. I think I know who you're fighting, but I'll keep it silent, because you're right, it helps to know about your fighter, and in this sport, you need any advantage you can get. It is alot different when you go to just watch the fights, you get to relax, but in a way, I wanna hop in the cage and fight. I've heard that Pete Spratt is a badass, guess I'll see for sure. Big Bird- It is true that alot of the fights are mismatches. Not all of them though. Im not defending Roland but it's not all lopsided. BRAUSA guys do get an advantage training with the promoter though. Right now, there are a handfull of good fighters there and a few of them are moving on to other show. This is a good step for them. They deserve it for the hard work they put in. The record has been padded somewhat though. There were guys that have been considered BRAUSA guys when they won, like Jerry Parsons in Super RITC, but at this last RITC when he lost, he wasnt listed as a BRAUSA guy that lost. There was another guys this last time that lost but didnt get listed as a BRAUSA guy either. What gives?

This next Bushido should be great. Spratt is a tough fighter and he did real well last time. Cant wait to see these guys fight again.

Well, I don't think that saying your team record is perfect is the most important thing in the world anyways, you win some, you lose some. I've personally went into the Brausa dojo and tapped out 3-4 guys last time, and gave Edwin a good war. I tried to go back and was told I couldn't return. Appaerently they don't take too kindly to that. I think I will do well in this next RITC, because I've seen everything in that little cage, no surprises. Keeping my air will be my main concern. I predict I will win in the first round, because I've been pretty good on subs lately. I also want to keep my streak alive, I hate slumps.Just once, I'd like to fight a streetfighter or a Karate guy, I couldn't hope to be so lucky.-stusskilla-
