  • Streetfight yesterday (I'm tired...)

As I've stated previously, my father is in intensive care for cardiac and pulmunar disease, right now, he's fighting, but he's getting tired, very tired, and I'm very stressed right now. I'm dropping weight as shit, sleeping very little and so on.

I wrote this in a internet cafe, just to relieve some pressure...

Yesterday at my coffee shop, showed up a tall and wiry yugoslavian, maybe 6'5 and 220, obviuously VERY drunk, he pretended to have some free drinks... I politely declined telling him that laws prevent me to pour alchool to drunks, and he left, he showed up other 4 times during the evening, getting way more aggressive each time. The last time he grabbed a customer and I pulled him by the left arm, attempting a chicken wing, all of a sudden he freed himself and headlocked me from the side, trying to punch.

Immeditely I thumbgauged him in the let eye, HARD, then I acquired a sort of lateral clinch, I unbalaced him slightly and pushing him to the shop door, rained at least 5 headbutts in the guy's eye. They weren't too hard, 'cause he countinued to headlock me, but I cut his eyebrow, even the left eye was swollen, once arrived at the door I thumbaguged him again, and rained some knees to the tight, then I pushed him and yelled to leave. He shouted that he would have cut my throat, then I losed control and throwed a diagonal elbow, full force, jumping a little, to his head. Knock Out. I returned inside my shop drained of any energy, tired as hell, puffing and almost fainting. Damn, if there was another one I would be dogmeat. He was pulled by the police after a short while and a cop said me that he think I injured seriously his eye.

Shit, brothers, I'm tired, tired as hell...

My father is fighting for his life, the bitch I dated revealed herself a complete mess..and now this...

    Bad Karma, I think.

However, the greco clinch is effective big time.

    See ya.

Underdog you get in so many fights in your restaurant you should start charging spectator fees!

I'm glad you KO'ed the guy. Sounds like he had some bad karma headed his way and you were the vehicle.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. I hope that he gets better.

      Underdog...
that is cool how the fight went. You went straight for the eye gauge. Most of us wouldn't even think of doing that. I guess its the way we train.
I don't know for sure but right now, but if i was in the headlock that you were in, i would probably try to do some bjj counter, like the spin sacrifice throw to get the mount. But i guess this isn't class anymore, its a street fight, so eye gouges, bites, and groin strikes are game.

i think i need to change my approach to training and add more sense of reality into it.

any of you guys feel the same way?

oh btw, hang in there. Life is testing you right now.
Hope everything works out for you.

I hope things get better for you and your father.

        P.S.
        Eye gouges are wonderful!
Ive noticed they work really well with a leg wrap and/or groin attack (open hand strike, grab & twist). Especially if the guy is still trying to just "hold" on to you as you start them.

I'm not really going to even mention the fight.

I'm more concerned with your father, and how things are going with you. UD, please keep strong here. And keep yourself together. I cannot possibly say that I "know how you feel." Because I do not. I am not in your situation, so I will leave you with this.

Don't think there aren't people who care about what is going on in your life. You're not alone.
The greatest strength a fighter has comes from his ability to handle adversity and emotional crisis...not just physical skill.
          Hang in there Underdog.

Info on my dad, first of all: it seems that your support is helping him, I visited him twice today and he seemed me slightly better, but the fight it's not over, by large.

To aloha: yeah, I think that in a fight a lot of things can happen, but a fight for me is a rare moment of living in the "present" time. I just react, I don't think, just react, move, slip, duck, hit, spit and hope for the best. One thing I know for sure: in a altercation I don't know middle ground, I go instantly for the worst possible damage I'm capable to do.

And above all, the worst thing:

                When I fight I don't think.

And that is the only time I really relax.

I don't know other modes. Rather psyco I admit, but this is the absolute truth.

                  Underdog is a BAD ASS.

I am praying for your father. Tell him there's a bunch of guys in the U.S. pulling for him.
