My opinion:

Penn over Gilbert by sub.
Desouza over Burger by decision
Serra over Carter by sub.
Almeida over Lindland by sub.
Randleman over Liddell by strikes
Williams over Schilt by sub.
Newton over Miletich by decision
Couture over Rizzo by decision

Shonie Carter vs. Matt Serra- I gotta go with Shonie Carter's experience and striking here. Carter by TKO.

Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Lindland- who is Lindland? I'll take Caccarao by sub.

Chuck Lidell vs. Kevin Randleman- Randleman by boring decision.

Pete Williams vs. Sammy Schilt- Williams by sub.

Carlos Newton vs. Pat Militech- I think Newton is going to get busy fast and find a way to sub that boring Croation sedation. Let's not forget that Newton once fought in the UFC and PRIDE against top middleweights and looked quite good with that, I predict a Newton-Sakurai showdown sometime next year.

Randy Couture vs. Pedro Rizzo- This is going to be one helluva a great fight. Both these guys are close to #1 but I have to go with Rizzo by KO in the later rounds.

My opinions:

Penn def. Gilbert by Sub (Who is Gilbert? He's got to be fodder to build Penn's NHB career, no way does the UFC bring in a current star/future superstar and not let him build a reputation. My business sense says it's a gimme.)

Matt Serra def. Shonie Carter by sub after taking a lot of shots . I don't know how good Serra's defense is. I predict a victory, but not a painless one.

Almeida def Lindland by sub, quickly and easily

Randleman def Liddell by ref stoppage (I guess Liddell trapped against the fence while Randleman unloads)

Williams def Schlit by ref. stoppage (punches)

Newton def Miletich by decision

Rizzo def Couture by KO.

(anyones guess is as good as anyone elses, but it's fun to get as detailed as possible and see how close you actually get. Several of these fights will be great matchups)

Newton will win by sub if he can keep Militech from running away like in all his other fights.

When is 31 going to be aired anyway? It wouldn't be any fun if Miletich loses and I don't see it.
