Who beats Vitor?
I think there are several guys at that weight, or who can make that weight who could stop him.
The first one that comes to mind is Kevin Randleman. Nobody short of Erikson has been able to keep Kevin off of them and Vitor wouldn't be the 2nd. Kevin takes him down and punishes him.
Tito *could* do the same, but he'll have to be fast. Tito likes to work the underhook from the clinch, something Couture has success with - but his entrance isn't as polished. Tito also likes to trade in close at times, and that could be a major mistake. Couture was able to work Vitor with uppercuts from in close, while Tito likes to use a bearhug lift - so it's tough to say.
Oddly enough, I think Chuck Liddell might be able to handle him. Chuck is good at fighting off grapplers and is a good striker in his own right. Something tells me he could use this ability to enter on Vitor and actually take him down. If Vitor tries to take Chuck down, there's no way. If Chuck can avoid the big right/straight blast, he'll be okay. Lastly, you'd better believe that his work with Adams could come in very handy if he needs to get a submission win.
Guy Mezger's been on a tear of late. I think he could hang with Vitor. Guy always seemed to not have any power in his strikes, but I think he's finally just broken down and decided to fully commit himself to throwing punches with the intention of ending fights. Guy's also a big middleweight, so he won't get bullied.
On then other hand, I think Vitor would eat Henderson up. Dan's a spraw 'n brawler and is *always* getting hit. Unless he changes his strategy completely - I think Vitor owns him.
Silva is a badass, but I'm not so sure he can beat Vitor. Say what you will about Silva, but he does tend to get hit in the face in most of his fights. Even Sakuraba floored him briefly. Unless he changes his style, I'm not so sure Vitor wouldn't stop him 9 of 10 times.
As for Sakuraba...well, I think the way his fights go, he's a bad match for Vitor, much the way Vitor is for Silva. I see that fight being similar each time.
