BTW...if anyone wants a cheap system to get started, I'll sell you my RCA DS4120RE satellite system (dish, receiver, remote, books, no access card) and my DPBB (dead processor blocker board) for $100. the dish has never been installed and is still sitting in the box. I've been using the receiver and remote for about 2 months, because my Sony was not compatible with rev 1 of the DPBB. now that the new DPBB's are out, I want to get one and use my Sony setup. email me at vortrex@pacbell.net if you are interested.

Dish network is the way to go?

So If you want to watch Pride you need to get dish network. How about the UFC? I am moving and will want to get a dish. For those who have dish network is it worth it to watch pride?

No, you can watch Pride on DirecTV. You can also watch it on Dishnetwork from what I understand.

I have direct tv and it's the best move I've made. The price is the same as digital cable, but you get more channels and all of the channels are digital(not just HBO, Showtime etc...). I rent my satilte recievers, just like renting the cable box. Costs me $5 a month for each box, same as cable. They gave me the satalite dish for free. The only extra cost was to have it installed wich cost $70 per room. It's definatly the way to go.

              Dishnetwork vs Pride

It use to be that you could watch Pride only on Directv but now it is coming on Dishnetwork also.

              Dishnetwork is cheaper per month
Directv has more pay per view channels

It al depends on what you want as to which is better for you.

                  Pride and UFC cost

They are usually $25.00 to rent the event.

Which is better for NHB events dishnetwork or direct tv? The ony reason I want to switch from cable is NHB pay-per-views so which one should I look into getting?

I would get directv for NHB. they been doing it for a long time now, dishnet is just starting to get into it. you never know, if things like king of the cage go pay per view, directv would probably be more likely to pick it up first. plus, directv is much easier to crack then dishnet.
