A little while back I found out that one of the guys that trains with me is currently ranked 6th in the nation, by USA Wrestling, in submission grappling.

Brandon Ruiz is listed as a Grapplers Edge rep, which he still competes under their flag, where he trained for quite a while before leaving the US Olympic Training Center (competed in Greco, Silver at the PanAms in 2005) and moving back here to Utah.
The guy is an absolute Gorilla. I have pictures of hime somewhere around here doing inverted pullups (bady in a plank, feet above the bars). He's also an incredible wrestler who's Jits game is evolving at light-speed. Think Jeff Monson but stronger, better wrestler, and a better top-game (I still think Jeff has a better game off of his back but lets keep that between us
).
