  • off topic ( fishing)

The Columbia River has it's largest return of Chinook Salmon in over 50 years.30,000 a day are going through the fish ladder at Bonneville dam.
I have caught fish every trip out.
We are having a bumper year of returning summer steelhead too!

That's good to hear. Hopefully they'll return to their original numbers.

      Canada - great for fishing!

You guys need to go up to Saskatchewan or Manitoba Canada, I have NEVER seen such great fishing in my life.

Mik_36, I heard the same thing. There's less dams up there so the natural runs have been primarily undisturbed.

I'll tell you, I'm only 25 so I'm no fishing expert or huge veteran by any stretch, but I really love fishing.

Up in a place called Nipawin, Saskatchewan they have a Walleye competition every year, I think top prize is $10,000 or something (for the most weight in fish caught if I remember right). But the Lake they do it on (Tobin I believe) is supposed to have the best Walleye fishing in the WORLD. At least that is what they say, but it would not surpise me if it was up there, the fishing is GREAT!

Anyplace in Northern Sask or Manitoba is just great fishing.

See my Mom lives up in Canada and I went to school up there so I've gone to this competition with my cousin once, it was GREAT. If you get the chance go up there, you will NOT be disappointed, trust me.

          Anyway.....
