  • Well, I'm off to Vegas

Well, the day has arrived. I leave for the airport in a couple hours and I am off to Vegas Baby, Vegas! I have a pretty complete trip planned. I'll be in Vegas for 1 week, and my trip will include 2 days at the UFC Fan Expo, which I will be meeting many of the UFC Fighters, the Ring Girls, and many other celbrities. I will also be talking to a lot of vendors to try to get more products to do my product reviews on. There is also the Maxim UFC Ring Girl Search, The Limp Biskit Concert, Dana White's commencement address, The Grapplers Quest Tournament, and the Eddie Bravo workshop that I will do during those first 2 days.

On Friday night, I am going to spend a few hours training at Xtreme Couture, I'll be taking the MMA and Muay Thai class. Saturday night is UFC 100 of course and me and my buddy are probably going to head to the Hard Rock to watch the fight, and then search for the best place to go to one of the after parties at.

Starting on Monday I will spend 3 days training at Master Toddy's for a seminar he is having out there. It's 3 days of intense training of both morning and evening sessions all 3 days. I am hoping to round out my trip with 1 day at a BJJ school if I can find one that is open on Sunday's at it is literally my only day that is not booked on this trip. I fly back on Wednesday night on the red eye and arrive Thursday morning next week. It's going to be an exciting trip, and I should be posting regular updates on my blog for those that are interested, with photos and videos of all the events. Wish me luck.

Sounds like an awesome plan! I would love to see pictures.
Are you going to go to Wanderlei's new gym too?
    Have fun!

          Hey Guys,

To give you a quick update, it took me 2 days to arrive in Vegas, due to a late flight I missed my connecting flight and had to stay overnight in Minnesota. I arrived this morning, had time for a quick shower and then headed right to the Expo. It was a pretty cool day. I got to meet the following fighters: Wanderlei, Marcus Davis, Shawn Carwin, Patrick Cote along with models Ali Sonoma and Arianny Celeste (I am really pissed that my friend took a blurry photo of me with Arianny). I watched a little bit of the Grapplers Quest tourney today, which was pretty cool. I didn't stick around long enough to tell you who the winners were today, because I was busy hitting the booths, talking to vendors, getting autographs, etc. I finally got to meet Adam from Athletic Body Care, who has been nice enough to hook me up with some great products which I am been using, and have written 1 review on (a few more coming soon). I also spoke with the guys over at Title Boxing, who have a new line coming out called "Fighting" which is going to be a high end line. There is a possibility I may be providing some feedback for them on some of their products (and for you guys as well).

My original plan was to hit up Xtreme Couture tonight, but between about 2 hours of sleep, and staying a little later at the event today, I missed out on training there. I am going to try to make it either next Monday-Wednesday one day. It may be tough because I am training at Master Toddy's those days for several hours, but I may have some open time in the evenings if I can push myself assuming I am not too tired.

Speaking of MMA gyms, there is a strong chance I am going to check out Wanderlei's gym here in Vegas. Probably on Sunday, as he is having a 3 hour seminar that day. Tapout also has openned a new gym, which I am itching to check out if I can.

Another reason I missed out on Couture's today was because I was at the weighin's for UFC 100, which was awesome. Shortly after that I made it to a Q&A session with Dana White, followed by the induction to the UFC Hall of Fame for Chuck Lidell and Mask from Tapout. I have pictures of all of this, which I am uploading on my blog shortly. Header over there in a bit to check them out.

I'll have another quick recap after tomorrow, which I have my Eddie Bravo Seminar, along with a planned trip to meet Forrest Griffin and Logan Stanton tomorrow at a Meet and Greet, the UFC 100 in the evening. Should be a good day tomorrow. Right now I am tired and physically exhausted, so I am probably going to pass out shortly. Check back tomorrow for updates.

          Dan
