Yes something far removed but lets not get silly here Movement! I mean TKD!!

After doing something practical and hard like BJJ you don't want to settle for something with movie star techniques and nothing you can actually use.

I recommend MT or boxing. There are some good JJJ and Hapkido (among others) schools that will enhance your abilities. Or maybe giving a decent RBSD a go. Something to put your BJJ skills to test under a different environment?

If you are a TKD fan then I don't mean to offend. I have a BB in it but it doesn't give me a green light to attack the style, I just question it as a functional style.

west actually I'm really against TKD as it is today, I would say if it's possible find someone who teaches the original TKD not just this watered down crap thats out today.

I have a black belt in WTF TKD and a black belt in hsoujingdo which is a traditional TKD blend.... massive difference.

but I just said TKD because it's as far removed from BJJ as you can get and would allow the mind to reset, different mentality and all

tanto1 - was your post aimed directly at me or just a general dig at the BJJ community? Cause it seemed kind of weird.....

Judo is fine, not really much available round here where I am. To be honest I've always given Judo a miss cause of the all the injuries, BJJ has always been a 'softer' option due to the lack of falls/throws. I've seen dozens of Judo clips with ppl landing on shoulders, necks etc, enough to put me off as I'm kind of fond of staying healthy. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

            different strokes for different folks.

I don't do muay thai because I don't like their kicks. I don't train greco roman officially because I don't want to do competition

Never heard of Hsoujingdo, so I'll take your word for it. Do you have a clip of it somewhere on YouTube??

I get your point about being far removed....you weren't wrong!!

Chapters end. Some just last longer than others. Appreciate what you gained and do something else that stimulates you. It's a waste to spend time doing something you've lost interest in. That time and energy could be applied doing something else that you enjoy or that advances you or some cause in some way.
