He was a little bit too careless when he dove on top of Werdum to try to finish him with strikes. He didn't connect cleanly enough and got stuck with one arm in and one arm out.
For his whole career, Fedor has fought world class strikers standing and world class grapplers on the ground, he hasn't shied away from any challenge in the fight (with the exception of the Semmy Schilt fight where he opted to take him down). He stood against Cro Cop and banged, and he spent most of the Nog fight on the ground.
MMA fans are a fickle lot. Also the UFC's propoganda has tried to discredit Fedor for the past few years. I hope true fans remember Fedor's unprecedented win streak and that he is still the greatest HW in MMA of all time.
