You are right, is quite difficult to get in the protein amount that many experts say you need for optimum gains. Without protein shakes you cannot do it. How much chicken breast can one guy eat? I usually have a BIG shake right after lifting, that gets me about halfway to my daily protein goal. I mix it with skim milk, I haven't tried it with water but I bet it would taste nasty.
