Is age an issue when beginning savate?

Is savate an art that is more meant for young people or can an older person start to study it? Thanks in advance.

I think with most ring sports or competition sports, heart and dedication is more of an issue, but if you want something like Savate, I sure hope you are flexible or are prepared to work on it.

Age should never discourage oneself from ever trying something new! Remember this: Frank Shamrock did not start training in the martial arts until he was 22! I assume you are a bit older than that, but it goes to show that the combative arts are definitely not a young man's market.
