Subject: Open Division Tournament Series . . .

I have had many inquiries from Fighters concerning how to make some cash in MMA.

It seems that Amateurs don't like "risking it all" for nothing and the Pros don't like Fighting for little of nothing. Most people think Amateurs shouldn't be "paid" to fight.

So, what if there was an event where any experienced Fighter was welcome to compete? Amateur, Pro or whatever. The matches would be for any experienced Fighter. The matches would be deemed exhibitions so they wouldn't affect the fighter's Amateur or Pro record.

But instead of receiving compensation for competing, fighters will be offered Sponsorship Contracts of various values depending on their perfomances.

The Sponsorship Contracts are to market certain Rumble Zone Sponsor's products at future Rumble Zone events and press conferences.

The proposed event is The Ultimate Challenge Championship Series. The Series will be based on 4-Man Tournaments within two Fighting Styles: Muay Thai and MMA. Each with 6 Weight Classes. There will be 32 Local Tournaments, 4 Regional Tournaments and 1 National Tournament per year.

Muay Thai Division: 3-3 minute rounds with one overtime round.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Division. 3-4 minute rounds with one overtime round.

Local winners advance to a Regional Tournament, then the Regional winners advance to a National Tournament.

The winners of the National Tournament would get a Title shot with the current Ultimate Challenge World Champion in their weight class. World title matches pay $1,000 to Show and a $2,500 Bonus to Win.

    Ultimate Challenge Sponsorship Prizes:

Local: $500 Sponsorship to winner. $250 for 2nd and $150 for 3rd/4th. Hotel Accomidations provided with other fighters.

Regional pays: $1,000 to winner. $500 for 2nd and $250 for 3rd/4th. Hotel Accomidations provided with other fighters. Mileage allowance if over 150 miles; Airfare allowance if over 600 miles. Maximum of $250.

National pays: $5,000 to winner. $1,000 for 2nd and $500 for 3rd/4th. Hotel Accomidations provided with other fighters. Mileage allowance if over 150 miles; Airfare allowance if over 600 miles. Maximum of $250.

    Finishing Bonuses in every Tournament.

    Local: $100 1st Round; $75 2nd Round and $50 3rd Round.

    Regional: $200 1st Round; $100 2nd Round and $75 3rd Round.

    National: $300 1st Round; $200 2nd Round and $100 3rd Round.

This Tournament Series isn't being set up for the established Pro fighter. They are welcome to compete, but this is really about the up & coming fighters. Or, fighters that just like to compete.

The Tournaments will be held in Alabama and Indiana.

What are your thoughts on this type event?

Please let me know what you think (even you Vitorfan).
