Mr. Manco makes some good points, but I see a potential problem. If we need to fight a war, what are we going to do for cannon fodder? Society needs an expendable, stupid, economically deprived sector from which to draw armed forces in times of conflict. Under Mr. Manco’s plan we would have a nation full of accountants and corporate executives. Not only that, but who is going to pick my veggies, clean my toilets, work on my 40 thousand dollar SUV, or more importantly, pleasure me orally for 50 bucks and a vial of crack? Sheer lunacy. Society needs an underclass to exploit. It always has and always will.

Is it any wonder then, that Christianity has screwed up the world more than any single religion known to man? Not only do its proponents PERSECUTE (in the spirit of their teacher), but it is the religion of the sick and impoverished.

And yet the prophesy of the religion is coming true. The meek ARE inheriting the earth, precisely as set forth above ... they most unfit of our world are overpopulating and thrusting upon the shoulders of the better ALL of their problems and consequences wrought of their inequities.

WHY?!!?

Because "Christianity" has BRAINWASHED the majority of our populace to "bear the burden" for the inferior and the sick ... thus keeping them around and perpetuating this UNholy downward spiral.

THAT is the subtle and terrible CANCER of Christianity for you in a nutshell. It spreads itself and infects. Just ask the Indians how their populace was "bettered" by Christianity.

Now take a look around and look at the music and youth of today, and draw your own conclusions ... are we becoming "better" as a nation? ... or are we slowly de-volving and becoming one giant Trash Can?

I think that you have hit on a key issue underlying the gun control debate: an issue of cultural change.

The demographics of guns owner and NRA members are overwhelmingly middle age and older white males. In this group some think their place in society has been eroding in the last several decades. It seems likely that some of them have seized on the gun issue to indirectly fight this 'cultural' war, of sorts.

Not to denigrate many peoples' genuine love of firearms, but I also think this cultural war has much, if not more, to do with this issue.

On the good side for gun control advocates, these demographics guarantee, almost surely, that this issue will die out in the next 10-20 years as the majority of gun owners and rabid NRA owners die out. The gun control advocates will win - its a foregone conclusion. The NRA types are basically dinosaurs that dont realize that the ice age is already well upon them! (to be dramatic)

So I would suggest that gun control advocates keep this in mind and be patient as you pursue your goals. DEMOGRAPHICS are OVERWHELMINGLY on your side. Unless the NRA can find some way to appeal to younger and non male and non white members, they are TOAST.

Maybe PD should be producing dozens of his own whelp to keep the NRA cause alive in the coming decades.

NRA types: all rhetoric aside, can you think of anyway your cause will be able to transcend its narrow and generally older demographic? I am surprised that the NRA doesnt worry more about this.

That's got to be the most war-like major religion in the world, but also the most contemptuous of individual rights and scientific thinking, which you seem to advocate (sort of).

You are an environmentalist. Do you espouse the Gaia theory? If so, why do you object to "tree-hugging"? Trees need love, dude.

You're obviously not a Communist, per se'. Yet you advocate Statism when you talk about sterilizing poor people and culling the weak. Only a State would have the resources to do this. A lot of your ideas are being used in Singapore; i.e. harsh punishments for even petty crimes (flogging for vandalism), eugenics, etc. But they have no individual rights. It's hard to be a quasi-Statist.

BTW, I apologize for my behavior of the other day. I've been on a short fuse lately.
