OK, here is my sad story. Went to the gym today and once again did not tap in time. The guy I was rolling with put me in a foot lock and when I heard something like paper being crumpled up coming from my foot, I figured I should probably tap. (by the way, Big 5 sells this Hot/Cold pak pretty cheap....)

As if that wasn't bad enough we proceeded to work from the guard with the guy on top wearing gloves and punching. Not a good day for me. I covered my face and got hit in the ribs. I covered my ribs and got my bell rung. Now I have a headache.

So......now that I've finished scraping the sand out of my p**sy, anyone else want to jump on the whining bandwagon??

I have a big cut in my lip that was bleeding and some bruises on my nose from my sparring with the judo guys. Also, my back aches and I don't have a girlfriend.

      I'm not a good boxer

I have been grappling with a friend at work for a while now, and we decided about a week ago to box each other. He figured he would be a pretty good boxer, because he's pretty fast. I, on the other hand, am pretty damn slow. He beat the crap out of me. I lasted quite a while, but I could not hit him. We finally had to stop because my nose started trickling.

My latest injury happened on Friday night:

We were doing take down drills and I was the take down dummy but this night, I got the boxing gloves to punch. It was fun, but about half way into it, my partner shot in, caught the nail on my big toe, ripped it on the side and bent it back about half way.
When I felt the pain, I looked down to see the huge and wide white line on my toe nail and realized that my nail had been bent back.
I knew, it was only a matter of time before my toe would be searing with pain and there would be quite a bit of blood.

Most of the guys training wouldn't come over since they knew how quesy they might have felt.

It's only a toe, but damn it's a drag to walk around.

i used to compete in MMA events (mostly as a muay thai stand up fighter with wrestling and judo groundfighting)
A Bjj got me in a armlock that seperated my shoulder and tore my rotary cuff. This injury pretty much put an end to my fighting career, it's now 9th months after my 2nd sugery and i can only bench press 70pounds max with my ****ed up arm.
WHen i do Bjj against ppl, i only use techinque to beat them (hey, that's all i have now)
works sometimes, get muscled around others

          wah wah

oh, on the plus side though....i get about 240 vicodin a month for pain

            Toe nail fun

            SweepEm,

The same thing happened to me last June in a Wing Chun class. The toe blistered up under the nail. A couple of days later the nail fell off. It only completely grew back last month.

Now I only train in steel-capped boots.

dude, so far, I am lucky and think that I won't lose the nail.
The first 5 days, I wrapped tape around the nail really tight and well, everyone that has seen the before and after, are amazed at how normal it looks. It is kind of purple under the nail but it's not bad.

I would have bet money that I would be losing my nail.

time for me to wrap the toes with tape before I hit the mats every time.
