Friend had a callasped lung.. How does this happen?

a few days ago, a close friend of mine experienced a callasped lung. He had surgery today.. What causes this? the doctor said that he was at highrisk because he is a young male and skinny, much like myself. has anyone else experienced this or know anyone that has gone through this?
(btw, he was sitting infront of his computer when it happened and he does not smoke)

He was probably doing Crystal Meth...

thats the only thing i've seen do that cause my friend does it and he was working out and his shit collapsed...this is the 2nd time it happends..

No, he doesnt do any drugs or drink..
he is someone who gets 100s and 99s in all of his subjects..
I saw him today at the hospital and he looked very pale and lost a lot of weight after his surgery..

visited my friend today, he's doing much better, starting to gain the colour back in his skin and gaining his weight back..
the doctor said it was as combination of genetic factors and exposure to second hand smoke that gave him a collasped lung.
