Ok stop the Karate and do these:
Capoeira - Its not for fighting but it improves everything like balance, coordination, reactions, agility and much much much more. It's also amazingly fun. What ever fighting art you do, make sure you do this too + theres some deadly moves once you get very good.
Wing Chung - Its VERY useful for real street fighting, the small fast punches to the chin, getting used to close range fist fighting, learning how to control other peoples arms and weight + so much more
Boxing - Need I say anything? How would you feel fighting mike tyson in his prime? Learn the insane cardio, footwork, reactions, distance, defense etc. This is definatly up there with the most important.
Judo - Find a No-Gi school if possible. You want to take the throws that will actually work and believe me this art is very dangerous. Again, this is one of the most important because you learn to use an opponents weight very effectively.
BJJ - This is certainly not to be missed, it will teach you everything you need to know about ground fighting.
Kickboxing - A fantastic MA for developing kicks, kness and elbows. It's fantastic for self defense, but don't try kicking people in a real fight unless your finishing them off.
Take 1 day per week to develop functional explosive strength. I'm not going to tell you what I do exactly but just remember the more explosive you are the better your going to be.
