mad merv, so join a gun club or something nobody here said they were immortal and if you can hit me with a table faster than i can throw a right hand more power to ya... just because were better punchers and grapplers than you doesnt mean we dont understand the real world..

I guess you don't need martial arts if you have quick and easy access to a table. I wish mad merv was around a year ago when I took up BJJ. He could have saved me so much money.

                  hey!!! martial arts helped me

last year I got, attacked by a guy he had an iron bat,
Wath happened is easy I will say it to ya, I WAS TRAINED,THUS I WAS BETTER.

its not a waist to train in MA,dude you clearly dunno wath you are talking about,if it was shit than how comme its been around for centuries, wath humains don't need they discard,so they would of discarded it a looooooooooong time ago you are clearly dumb, how can you beat someone up properly without been trained well...you are right but form your mind to your arm(for picking the gun up)how much time was lost...a millisecond is ALL I need to kill someone how could you of countered with MA skilles of course not with humain instincs

here is an easy one for you : how can you walk well if,you never learned properly, how can you do well in mathematics if you didn't learn it,how can you drive withoput training well its easy you have to attain sertain skills ,this is not a must but you are pretty stupid, thinking you can beat up trained people when you are not...you are just stupid its such a shame

yeah but it's the whole culture.. it's full of heros..
and the schools are out to rip you off.. big time.. unless your lucky.....
and yeah i don't think martial arts helps that much.. i know a lot of martial art guyz who are whimps when it comes down to the crunch.. no matter how advanced there skills..
i think it comes down to what i said before.. you either have it or you don't..
i'd rather just hit the bag..and do weights.. stuff training martial arts .. big waist of money

ok, then you hit the weights and the bag, and I'll keep going to my classes that I'm glad to shell out for (that also has a heavy bag), and in 6 months, we'll climb in the ring and see what works; your hitting a passive bag and hoisting iron, or my strenuous sparring with resisting opponents and good technique.

You can hit a bag all year, but if you're hitting it wrong, it won't hurt as bad. But, I forgot, Billy Cheung taught you how to punch....yep, I guess you'd better join that boxing gym....

                        oh, by the way...

your comment about Asians being wimps one-on-one....ever heard of Kazuyuki Fujita? Masahiko Kimura? Masa Funaki? Sanae Kikuta? If these names don't ring a bell, then, as I said before, you need to pick up a book or two.

dude, the second you post your leg to pick up the table, I'll smash your knee. It's quite simple.

Anyway! My Dad is bigger than your Dad!

On a more serious note, Merv is partially right. I have seen many people with Black Belts, and it is safe to say that they could not knock the skin off a rice pudding. The Martial Arts have always been in a mess, with ridiculous tales of miraculous feats etc.

Your average Martial Arts class won't train you t do anything but wave your limbs into the air.

But stick with some skillful grappling and tough kick boxing and you most certainly WILL be able to massively improve your fighting ability.
