I have been reading some of the threads that can tell you other ways that are actually harder to pull off, for example:
Someone one said that if you raise the opponents head then press your shoulder down on their neck then you can release the choke!
Now that was true some time back, (Gracie Jui-Jitsu), but the game(MMA NHB) has changed and their is a better way!!
How you do it is this:
1. First, take whatever hand is on the side that your head is on and pull on his wrist to relieve some pressure.
2. Then you take your other hand, make a knife hand, and drive it into your opponents neck.
3. Then raise up on your feet with hips up.
4. Finally drive all your weight down on your knife hand. (This will place all of your body's weight onto the edge of your hand choking him out!)
If done correctly, you are actaully choking him out with your entire body weight which no one can withstand.
